The Alachua County Library District is partnering with the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association to present Law in the Library: Restoration of Civil Rights Workshops.
Attorneys from Josiah T. Walls Bar Association and law students from the University of Florida Levin College of Law will provide one-on-one assistance to persons who have been convicted of a felony and are interested in applying to have their civil rights restored. If civil rights are restored an applicant will have the right to vote, sit on a jury and hold public office. Also, the attorneys will meet with people who are interested in having their records sealed or expunged
