Summer Art Show for Adults
The 6th Annual Summer Art Show will be held Sunday, August 4, 2019 from 2:30-3:30 pm at the Headquarters Library. The reception will be held from 2:30-3:00 pm followed by an art discussion with artist Ameena Khan from 3:00-3:30. Khan is a mixed media artist living and working in the Tampa FL area. Born in 1980 in Gainesville FL, Ameena has been exhibiting her paintings in galleries and festivals since 2010. Khan’s visually narrative paintings tell the stories of Muslim women living in America. The reception/discussion will take place in the Teen room on the library's 3rd floor.
You are cordially invited to submit a piece of art for the show. Submissions will be collected from June 1 to July 30 and will be on display from August 4 - 30. Exhibits may include 3D art work. Guidelines, and exhibit display/waiver forms will be available starting June 1 at all 12 library locations and at www.aclib.us/artshow. You may submit your art at any library branch.
