An art reception will be held on Saturday, February 29th, from 2 - 4 pm at the Alachua County Headquarters Library for National PTA Reflections Art Program.
Reflections is a National PTA program that recognizes outstanding student achievement in the visual arts. This is an opportunity for students to unleash their creative talent and bring out the artist in them. The PTA Reflections program gives students the path to explore their thoughts and feelings, develop artistic literacy and find a love for learning. This year marks the 50th year of the Reflections program!!
The theme for 2019-2020 is “Look Within”.
Students can submit 2-D works of art in photography, painting, collage, digital art and drawing. Submitting artists must be enrolled in an Alachua County Public School with an active PTA. Adults are welcome to encourage students but are asked NOT to assist children in any way with their interpretation of the theme or artistic expression.
“Look Within” and get creative! The deadline to submit art at Meadowbrook or Wiles Elementary is February 15.
