New To ASL? Converse with others at Waldo Library, Fridays in April at 10:30 a.m. All ages welcome.
Are you new to American Sign Language (ASL) and want to learn signs and practice with others? This conversational group is good for students who have already taken Ms. Ann's ASL for Beginners course at Waldo Library or another Alachua County Library branch. Half of each week's session will consist of Ms. Ann reviewing signs learned in the beginner's course and introducing new material. For the other half, we will break down into small groups to use what we've learned with others. Conversation will be casual and include prompts. Participants of ALL AGES and with ALL abilities are welcome and will be accommodated. Participants are not required to attend all sessions.
