An escape room adventure at the Alachua Branch Library?
You've been framed for stealing the Red Queen's tarts. You better run away before the Jabberwocky gets you!
If you never tried an escape room game you're in for a treat! Escape room games are a physical adventure where players work together to solve puzzles using clues and whatever strategy works best. To add to the challenge, players are given a set time to solve the solution that will lead to the key out. There is no grand prize, just the thrill of being able to outsmart the designers of the room and be the first to escape the room before the other 2 teams.
Breakout from Wonderland
Plot:
Tick tock, can you escape with your head?
The Duchess is on her way to tell the Red Queen that it was you who stole her delicious tarts. Five, Seven, and Two, playing cards and the queen’s gardeners, also plan to testify that they saw someone who looks very much like you by the dessert table earlier.
Of course it isn’t true!
Follow the White Rabbit through the palace grounds but be mindful of the clock. Wonderland is a curious place, and you won’t find your way out easily! Mary Ann, the White Rabbit’s house maid, has sprinkled about the garden tricky puzzles to help with your escape and Bill, a lizard who is also employed by the White Rabbit, has scattered clues that might lead you to the guilty individual who did steal the queen’s treats.
Even if you could solve who the thief is you don’t have time for a trial. You have 30 minutes to find your way out of Wonderland before the Red Queen finds you and feeds you to her Jabberwocky!

How many players can play at a time?
Each session lasts for 30 minutes.
For each session there will be 3 teams.
Teams can range from 2 members to 5 members.
To participate please register your group by selecting the register button to the left.
When registering first put your name then choose "add a person" to add the rest of the members of your group.
Families are encouraged to sign up as a group!

"Can I come without a reservation?"
If you don't have a reservation for the Breakout room you are welcome to stop in to make the button and Mad Hatter hat craft. Sometimes people will make a reservation and don't show up. If that's the case then you would be welcome to try your luck with our escape room adventure.

So that everyone can enjoy the game please don't share your experience with the people who come in after you.
