Open to teens (ages 13-18), this free workshop emphasizes hands-on learning by
allowing students to create songs, podcasts, and other content using a combination of
hardware and software instruments, and other modern recording equipment.
Students learn how to produce music, record audio, and even perform live as the class
works on a group project using Ableton Live, an industry standard recording and music
production software.
Additionally, there will be discussions about music-making, music business, and other
related topics. Attendees should come ready to learn, participate, and get creative as
students are introduced to some of the most critical knowledge and skills necessary to
engage in audio production. No previous musical instrument or recording experience
required.
