Engineer and discover how animals protect themselves with the Rigamajig!
The Rigamajig is an innovative, large-format building toy developed for New York City's High Line park. A wooden building toy that might remind parents of K'Nex or Erector sets, the Rigamajig inspires children of all ages to build and experiment.
For this particular session, we are going to use the Rigamajig to emulate animal adaptations, reverse-"engineering" the unique traits of different animals. We will be following the Turtle Shells, Bat Wings, and Other Protective Things lesson plan from the Rigamajig Project Plans, which can be found here.
