Teachers and learners can gain insights and strategies for more successful language acquisition.
This presentation will briefly define current professional standards in communicative language learning and teaching, as opposed to grammar-based instruction. Participants will gain foundational knowledge about socio-cultural theory as it relates to second language acquisition, and identify strategies to assist both students and teachers of second languages to negotiate the tasks of acquiring and facilitating complex language skills.
