Celebrate Black authors and poets at our annual African American Read-In.
Join us as we share our favorite passages, poems, and more by Black authors. African American Read-Ins are an initiative by the National Council of Teachers of English to make literacy a significant part of Black History Month. Our annual event will feature readings by local luminaries and leaders in government, education, religion, and the arts. Refreshments will be provided by the Hawthorne Woman's Club.
