Meeting Room

Reception and Art demonstration to thank the local artists that displayed their works with us this month. Japanese Brush Paining demonstration by local artist Jenna Weston.

Join us at 6:45 pm to mingle with the artists and enjoy the displayed art while the Hawthorne Woman's Club provides refreshments. At 7:00 pm we will introduce the participating artists and an art demonstration will follow. Our featured artist is Jenna Weston who will demonstrate the ancient art of Sumi-e (Japanese Brush Painting). Jenna states "The natural world is the source as well as subject of my artwork. My sculptures are constructed from handmade paper and natural materials, such as vines, branches, and pods. The paintings I do combine the technique of Sumi-e (Japanese brush work) with gouache colors."
