Join us in the meeting room and learn how to make a memory kit for a loved one with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Memory loss and confusion are key signs of dementia and Alzheimer’s, which gradually harm brain cells. However, looking at old photos, listening to music, and sharing mementos from the past can help bring back memories and create a way for caregivers and family members to communicate and bond.
Participants can personalize their kit with items that hold special meaning for the person in their life who is experiencing memory loss. We will also use the library’s resources to learn more about the time and culture related to the kit they're putting together.
If you have any questions, please call Tower Road Branch Library at (352) 333-2840.
