Join us for an adult crafting program from MakerSpace: learn how to use a sewing machine! Beginners welcome. (Event renamed: previously named Stitchcraft for Adults)
Interested in learning how to sew? Come join us for Intro to Sewing for Adults, every second and fourth Tuesday of the month at HQ MakerSpace! Learn how to use a sewing machine and read patterns. Don't worry, we're providing the equipment.
Small sewing projects will be available to help adult beginners learn how to sew; materials are available on a first come, first served basis. This program is geared towards adult patrons who can independently read and operate a sewing machine with little to no supervision after being taught.
Registration is encouraged, due to limited space and sewing machines available. If you have your own machine to bring, plan to share a machine with your guest, or don't plan to use a sewing machine, the registration limit may be exceeded. If equipment is not already claimed by registered attendees within the first 15 minutes, it will be available on a first come, first served basis.
Once you have attended this class or are already comfortable sewing independently, feel free to come back to HQ MakerSpace for Open Sewing and/or Open Studio hours to work on your own projects. See HQ MakerSpace Events to register for specific dates and times.
