Room AJoin us to celebrate Black History Month and the artist Alma Thomas. We will create art influenced by the vibrant colors and expressionist style of Thomas' work. All supplies are provided.
Black History Month honors the contributions of Black Americans and celebrates the rich cultural heritage, triumphs, and adversities that are an important part of our country's history. Join us as we celebrate the artist Alma Thomas, the first black woman to have a solo exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art and to have paintings included in the White House's permanent art collection. We will be creating art influenced by the vibrant colors and expressionist style of Thomas' work. All supplies are provided. All ages are welcome.
