Meeting RoomFolk-Art Americana: Learn how to paint in the American Folk Art tradition.
Come join us as we learn how to paint in the American Folk Art tradition and celebrate America 250. American folk art is a diverse, non-academic art form rooted in cultural tradition, often created by self-taught artists. Characterized by bold, linear, and often flat designs, it highlights craftsmanship in everyday items. This class will show several examples from the movement, then participants will paint a still life painting.
No experience necessary. All materials supplied. Please wear appropriate clothing for creating art.
