America 250: Craft and Find
Thursday, July 02
3:00pm - 4:00pm
Newberry Branch
Meeting RoomKids can celebrate America's 250th birthday by making shrink plastic American flags and doing an American icon scavenger hunt.
At this special celebration, we will have two activities for kids to do, a craft and a scavenger hunt. They are welcome to choose just one activity or do them both.
For the craft, kids will trace and color their own American flags on special plastic sheets. Library staff will then use a heating tool to shrink them down and make them more durable. These neat miniature flags are sure to make great decorations and gifts!
For the scavenger hunt, kids will get a list of American icons hidden throughout the library. If they can find them all and add up the numbers on them, they'll get a special sticker!
