Adult Summer Camp
Beginner Bookbinding Workshop
Friday, July 17
12:00pm - 1:30pm
Headquarters Library
HQ Makerspace RoomMake your own miniature books using needle and thread at this beginner-friendly workshop, with each week having a different binding style: pamphlet stitch, dos-à-dos, Coptic stitch, and stab stitch.
Come join us at the MakerSpace to try your hand at bookbinding using four different sewn binding methods. These vary in complexity, but require no experience in bookbinding and only a little patience. We will focus on a different binding type each week.
July 17: Pamphlet stitch
July 24: Dos-à-dos with chain stitch
July 31: Coptic stitch
August 7: Stab stitch
Patrons are encouraged to attend whatever session(s) they would like as these sessions do not build on one another. All supplies provided.
