Sept 9th - Banking Basics; Learn common banking terms, types of accounts and how to protect your money and personal info.
Oct 14th - Identity Theft; Find out how identity theft happens, how to spot scams and how to protect your personal info.
Nov 11th - Budgeting; Discover how to make a budget, pay off debt and build healthy financial habits.
Dec 9th - Credit Scores & Reports; Participants will learn what a credit score is, its importance and how to read a credit report. They'll also learn the tools to maintain a healthy credit score and repair bad credit.
Jan 13th - Making Budgets Work; Identify what makes budgeting hard, track spending and use strategies to manage your money daily,
Feb 10th - Considering Home Ownership; Understand what it takes to buy a home, mortgage options and how to afford payments.
Mar 10th - Mortgages; Learn how to budget for a mortgage, apply for one and understand the costs involved.
Apr 14th - How Businesses Use Credit; Learn about credit options for small businesses like loans, credit cards and SBA financing.
May 12th - How Businesses Obtain Credit; Understand what lenders look for and what documents you need to apply for business credit.
June 9th - Developing a Business Plan; Learn the key parts of a business plan and how to write one that works.
July 14th - Small Business Financial Statements; Understand balance sheets, profit/loss statements and cash flow reports.
Aug 11th - Small Businesses and Financial Emergencies; Small businesses may be especially vulnerable in a financial emergency. This workshop will help small businesses create a plan to be better prepared for a financial emergency.
Headquarters Library
The Headquarters Library provides access to resources and services in the City of Gainesville and surrounding areas. It also serves as the headquarters of Alachua County Library District.
