Come learn hand embroidery at the library! This class is for beginners. We will learn basic stitches and move our way up to simple designs.

Did you know hand embroidery can provide therapeutic benefits to our mental health? This timeless fabric art has been valuable to reducing stress and anxiety in individuals who have experienced trauma. The repetitive motion used in stitching provides a steady rhythmic motion, putting our bodies and minds in a state of ease and calmness. Come learn embroidery with me. We'll start with learning the basic stitches and work our way towards creating imperfectly made designs. No stress about it, the goal is to create, relax, and learn together.
