Join Kristyn, the Wayfaring Painter, for fun art classes featuring woman author/illustrators every Thursday* in July from 12 noon - 1pm in Meeting Room B. *The library will be closed on July 4th.
Three women author/illustrators will be featured across Wayfaring Painter's Summer at the Library Adult Summer Camp classes. Each session, participants will be re-introduced to childhood favorites that are sure to evoke long summer days spent reading and will inspire an art project to make and take.
Harriet the Spy: Bind and decorate your own notebook with a hand-marbled cover and embark on a practice of thought-provoking art journaling inspired by Louise Fitzhugh. Thursday, July 11 at noon
Sam, Bangs & Moonshine: Cats, mermaids and 1960's cool - explore figurative and fashion illustration through block print techniques and the work of Evaline Ness. Thursday, July 18 at noon
The Little House: Draw inspiration from local historic homes and your own neighborhood in this fun and simple introduction to architectural illustration and the work of Virginia Lee Burton. Thursday, July 25 at noon
All classes will be held in Meeting Room B on the third floor.
