Trained representatives of SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) help in understanding the options of and how to file for Medicare.
SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a free program offered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs and the local Area Agency on Aging. Specially trained volunteers can assist with Medicare, Medicaid, and health insurance questions by providing one-on-one counseling and information. They will be available at the Cone Park Library on the third Wednesday of each month from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. www.floridashine.org/
The Cone Park Branch is a collaborative effort between the Library and Partnership for Strong Families. It serves as a resource center and a library, providing access to resources and services in East Gainesville and surrounding areas.
