Join us and start to make a real stuffed animal!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a stuffed animal, or to develop your skills with a sewing machine by making a stuffed animal for others? Join us for our latest SEWINGSpace series, where you can start creating your own stuffed animal.
This program is registration only. We cannot guarantee that you will finish your creations within the time limits of the program but you are welcome to sign up for multiple sessions as need and availability allows. Sessions take place on January 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 3-5 PM. If you are planning on working on one project together with another person: Please register one of you and use the "add more people" button to add your working partner. If you and a friend/family member want to work on separate projects: Please register separately. This will help us ensure that enough supplies and sewing machines are available for everyone.
We will have patterns available for an aardvark, buffalo, koala bear, cat, and bat stuffed animals. If you want to make a specific animal, please mention it in your registration and we will do our best to source a free pattern; we will let you know if this is not possible. We will have all supplies needed available, but we cannot guarantee that we will have fabric in "real-life" colors. If you want to bring your own fabric to use, please supply about a yard of woven, non-stretch fabric. Fabrics with the terms "stretch," "jersey" or knit in the title will not work, and faux fur is not recommended. If you have questions about fabric choices e-mail cmassre@aclib.us.
