STEM/STEAM For Young Minds

Activities based on STEM/STEAM principles

Newberry is offering a STEM/STEAM program designed to inspire young minds Direct adult supervision is required for all attendees Held on the second Tuesday of the month

STEM and STEAM are the hot new buzz words of the year!

STEM - Science Technology Engineering Math

STEAM - Science Technology Engineering Art Math

STEM/STEAM isn't just an acronym, the goal of STEM/STEAM is to introduce these concepts in engaging ways and show applicable uses of concepts that have long existed. By engaging children in the STEM/STEAM disciplines and encouraging them to combine technical knowledge and skills with the creativity, it is hoped they can develop new innovative ideas.

In collaboration with Alachua County Libraries Makerspace, the Newberry Branch Library is proud to hold a STEM activity on the second Tuesday of each month. Direct adult supervision is required for all attendees.
