Come learn about invasive plants with Tyler Byrd, a member of the Florida Conservation Corps and Florida State Parks, and why we should plant natives instead.
Invasive plants are one of the biggest threats to Florida’s natural environment: They compete with our native plants, disrupting natural communities and pushing our natives out of their homes. It’s important that we all play a role in curbing the spread of invasive plants, whether they’re in our parks or in our gardens. Come join Tyler Byrd, a member of the Florida Conservation Corps and our state parks, and learn about the different invasive plants in our area, how they spread, and what we can all do to stop them together!
