Reception and art demonstration 2:30-3:30 pm in the Teen Space.
The 5th Annual Summer Art Show (formerly Elements of Inspiration Art Show) will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 2:30-3:30 pm at the Headquarters Library. The reception will be held from 2:30-3:00 pm followed by an art demonstration by local artist Kristyn Bat Lopez from 3:00-3:30. Lopez is known for her delicate and bold works of art on paper and skin. She is an art educator, tattoo artist and mother of two. With her sister Brynna, Lopez formed Wayfaring Painter, an organization which brings engaging art classes into the library and community. The reception/demonstration will take place in the Teen room on the library's 3rd floor.
You are cordially invited to submit a piece of art for the show. Submissions will be collected from June 1 to July 30 and will be on display from August 3 - 26. Exhibits may include 3D art work. Guidelines, application and waiver forms are available starting June 1 at all 12 library locations and at www.aclib.us/artshow. You may submit your art at any library branch.
