“It is important for all of us to see ourselves in books.” – Dr. Jerrie Cobb Scott, founder of the African American Read-In
Join us for a community celebration! We will be hosting our Annual National African American Read-In, co-sponsored with the Alachua Branch Friends of the Library. This event, created by Dr. Jerrie Cobb Scott, salutes black authors and black literature (old and new). Come listen to stories and exceptional music performances (or read/perform one yourself!) while we celebrate Black History Month.
