How do you know if the information or apps you are accessing on the Internet are trustworthy? In this workshop, we’ll talk about how to identify fake information on websites, how to avoid common online scams, and how to decide if something is safe to download. We’ll examine how to decide whether or not an app in popular app stores are at risk of stealing your data. In addition, we will discuss measures that parents can take to help keep their kids safe while using the Internet and proper precautions in using social media and online chat (for both kids and adults!).
