If you’re new to technology or just feel like you need a refresher on basic skills, get drop-in for assistance. We will provide you with a solid introduction to computers and give you tips and tricks to help you effectively navigate your computer or laptop. Some skills you may learn are computer parts, the use of the mouse, and the keyboard. We can also cover opening a program, using icons and the taskbar, and working with windows (minimize, maximize, and scroll). No experience required. Learn at own pace in a informal setting. Laptops are provided or you can bring your own.
The Library Partnership: A Neighborhood Resource Center, is a collaborative effort between the Alachua County Library District, Partnership for Strong Families, Department of Children and Families, and United Way of Central Florida. The center is designed as a one-stop resource for a variety of programs which included a full-service library branch. Approximately 30 different agencies provide programing on site.
