Join Planned Parenthood of South, East, and North Florida for a discussion on gender and sexuality!
Come meet a community educator from Planned Parenthood of South, East, and North Florida for a discussion about gender and sexuality! Everyone has a gender identity and a sexual orientation, and students will discuss the difference between the two as well as assigned sex and identify ways people express their gender. Students will also discuss how to communicate respectfully with and about people of all gender identities and sexual orientations. By the end of our lesson, students will explain why it’s important for people to feel proud of their identities, define and summarize common "gender norms" we see in society, and the ways people are expected to be "heterosexual" and/or "cisgender."
