In this workshop, you will learn the basics of linoleum block cutting and printing. Go home with a finished block (similar to a large stamp) and prints of your artwork! Please *please* bring a 4x6 inch sketch — something simple is fine. Beginners and non-beginners are welcome; all materials provided.
Ages 15 & up. *Please note this session is a continuation of the program beginning at 11:00am; you must attend both.
Meet the Artist: Cassava & Rye was started by Caroline Hurd in 2022. Raised in the pine forests of Michigan and now based in sunny Gainesville, Florida, Caroline creates linocut, watercolor, and ceramic pieces inspired by the rivers, plants, animals, and fungi around her. Her art is inspired by her previous work as a wildlife biologist and environmental educator.
