Come dust of your poems, listen and talk about the poetry of others, or find out about the interesting lives of famous poets living and dead.

Back in the day, poets were like rock stars.  Today, rock stars are sometimes poets.  There is a blurred line between what poetry is and what it isn't.  In a sense, everything written contains poetic potential.  Sometimes creativity can be unlocked by having an audience. Come bring in your poetry or prose poetry, roughly 3 pages or less double spaced, and we will read it.  

The other element of this group is a small weekly presentation and reading of famous poets of the past and present.  So far, we have discussed and read figures ranging from Charles Bukowski to Charles Baudelaire.  From Emily Dickinson to Emile Zola.  We'll, we didn’t read Emile Zola, but the name goes along with Emily.  And that's called poetic license.
