Teen Book of the Month
Black History Month
Tuesday, February 14
All day
Check out February's Teen Books of the Month: Stamped -and- You Should See Me in a Crown! Once you've read it, fill out a comment card for our bulletin board. Goes all month in the meeting room.
What is it?
Think Book Club but with no in-person meetings or pressure to like (or even finish!) the book. Read the book, or as much as you'd like, then tell us what you thought of the book! The selection changes every month, if this one isn't to your taste.
How does it work?
Read as much—or as little—as you'd like of that month's selection, then fill out one of the comment cards. Things you could put down:
- A few words (positive or negative)
- A drawing of your favorite scene
- A poem about the characters
- A song that makes you think of the book
Or anything else you can think of! Just keep it clean and no spoilers, please.
But I don't have a library card!
Think again! If you're an Alachua County public school student, you probably have a student card already. See staff for your information.
